Good quality washing machines.
WARNING:Overloading your machine can cause serious operational problems
The bosch brand of washing machines is the perfect choice should you wish to step up in class and quality. This is a wise
choice for many people, after many years of disappointment from using inferior washing machines.
I am a firm beliver in that if you buy cheap you will get rubbish in terms of washing machines. If you think you wash more
than 8 loads per week and want to stick with bosch then you should step up to the logixx range.
The standard clasixx range can be bought for under £300 and in my openion is the best value for money washing machine
that can comfortably handle between 5 and 8 loads per week. At this wash rate, wear and tear will require maintanance at
around 6/7 years old. The cost to further increase the lifespan is normally minimal.
Getting the best from a washing machine is realy about making the right choice. As a service
engineer, the brand that I am least likely to be called out to fix within a £300 price range is Bosch.
Year on year bosch washing machines have proven to be extreamly reliable and are very good
investment. The Bosch classixx (standard) Exxcell (additional features) and Logixx (premium) are all superb washing
Stick to manufacturer's guidelines and these machines are likely to serve well for many years. This means wash within the
loading guidelines. In my view, what really kills a washing machine in this category is
the constant washing of heavier than recommended loads day after day
If you are only interested in a good basic washing machine from a brand that is environmentally friendly and robust enough
to do your washing, my recommendation is up to that task. Ideally, it should have a drum size of 5 or 6kg, very good
on energy efficiency, above average water consumption (40 - 50L) and 1200 -1400 spin.
That machine is the:
Bosch classixx .
