A distinct advantage to seeking technical advice from ABS is the ability to quickly come up with the possible
causes for your domestic appliance fault.
Once the possible causes are determined, quality advice and instructions can
be given to narrow down, locate and put the fault right.
For example, if your enquiry was based on a dishwasher not draining, there would be 3 possible causes for this:
- Blockage - needs unblocking.
- Jammed drain pump impellar - needs freeing.
- Faulty drain pump - need a new one.
The aim of ABS would be to help identify the fault by quickly explaining how to eliminate each possible cause untill
the actual fault is found. Advice on how to get to the root cause of this problem can be given in under ten minutes.
If you have been scouting the web for information about your appliance fault, you will have realised by now, how sketchy
that information is. Not only is it sketchy, it is often wrong information, given by people with no qualification.
Well, you can stop that time consuming, gloomy search now because you have finally found someone with the following
sound qualification:
- Fifteen years experience with household appliance faults
- Actively working in the field
- More than likely to have fixed your fault on more than one occasion
- Know the fault symptoms for old and new appliances
- Extreamly good at helping layman/woman to explain a fault clearly
Technical advice is for anyone who need questions answered. Even those that are suitably qualified including domestic appliance
engineers, need advice from time to time. The following are situations when you may need advice.
- When you want to know the seriousness of the fault
- So as to avoid unnecessary cost
- If you are not happy with prior analisis
- When you need expert advice
- When you have done your best and the problem is still there
- Where the fault is obvious but the cause is not clear
- Just moved house and there is a problem
- Smells that will not go away
- When your appliance is acting strangely
Here are some of the many benifits you get from seeking technical advice from ABS:
- Quick assesment as to the seriousness of the fault
- A fault you can easily fix
- No expensive inspection/callout charge
- Less chance of getting ripped off by cowboys
- No need to waste time waiting in for an engineer
- Cost effective information to help you make decisions
- Less chance of unnecessary buying of a new appliance
- Unbiased advice given - no incentive to sell you an appliance
If you think you could benifit from seeking technical advice from Bob at ABS, you will need

Hot Tips
It pays to give the full picture of events leading up to the fault occuring as well as unusual hapenings in your home,
even if it may not seem to be a factor.
Take the following real case scenario for example:
I was called out to a house where lots of building and plumbing work was going on. The call out fault was explained on the
phone as: "The washing machine will only take in water on a rinse cycle" ( no mention of any plumbing work being done to the
house). Can you see the connection? they did'nt!
As soon as I saw the extent of the plumbing being done, the connection was made.
Some clever plumber had diverted the hot water supply away from the machine!
If the plumbing was mentioned, technical advice could have been
given thereby avoiding the expense of an engineer.
Remember, always give a good account, don't hold anything back!
