Common dishwasher faults
The majority of the listed fault symptoms are caused by minor faults. These faults are often limited to just inspection/service charge only.
Where parts are required, the overall costs are often much cheaper than a new dishwasher. Dishwashers have a long
lifespan, much longer than a washing machine. However they may require maintanance from time to time.

Dishwasher will not drain.
Sounds bad but it's not, realy. Nine out of ten times this problem is caused by blockage. It is a symptom that is
common to most dishwashers and seems worst than actually is. At worst it may need a new drain pump. More often than not
a service is all that is required.
Do not throw out what is likely to be a very good machine before speaking to me.

Dishwasher will not wash hot.
Dishes are still wet, no steam when door is opened. This problem is common with all dishwashers. Where spares are required,
the total repair cost is normally cheaper than the cost of a new dishwasher.
Inspection, repair and a service will extend the life of your dishwasher for many more years.

This is nothing new with dishwashers. Normally a service will be surfice, occasionally spares may be required.

Other faults
There are many other dishwasher fault symptoms, too many to mention here. If your fault symptom is not mentioned do not
be too concerned, it is likely to be one I have come across before. If it is not, my diagnostic techniques will reveal the cause.

Error codes
There are lots of defferent error codes for the various brands of dishwashers. They are a way of telling you something
is not quite right. Some handbook may suggest a likely cause or say "call engineer".
